OnePlus Watch 2 Sets Sales Record, Surpasses Watch 1's First Month Sales in a Single Day

It only took a day for the new OnePlus Watch 2 to break sales records. In a mere 24 hours, the company's most recent smartwatch model even succeeded in surpassing the sales record of its forerunner, the original OnePlus Watch.

Recall that OnePlus just debuted the Watch 2 at the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2024) event. The smartphone was quickly put on sale following the announcement. The OnePlus Watch 2 broke records in sales on its first day alone. The Chinese company used X, the former Twitter, to announce this achievement using its official European account. The tweet claims that in just one day, the OnePlus Watch 2 "smashed records" for the first-month sales of the OnePlus Watch 1.

This demonstrates the widespread appeal and success of the new wearable gadget, which is currently only available for pre-orders with sales starting on March 4. For those who don't know, the OnePlus Watch 2 has a 1.43-inch AMOLED display with a maximum brightness of 600 nits. Its internal components include the BES 2700 MCU Efficiency chipset and the Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 SoC.

32GB of internal storage and 2GB of RAM are included with the processors. Furthermore, Google's Wear OS 4 is used by the smartwatch. It is powered by a 500mAh battery pack that is rated for 48 hours of heavy use and 100 hours of battery life in smart mode. The price of the OnePLus Watch 2 is $299 in the UK, €329 in the EU, and $299.99 in the US. It is available in black and radiant steel.
