“Hard work beats talent if talent doesn’t work hard” – Tim Notke, basketball coach
Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you do. Being talented without actually putting in the work is not sustainable. 23 year old ItsKavon has had 10 years of experience in what he does today.
An audio engineer and music mixer, Kavon’s passion has always been music and he chose to continue to sharpen his skills in order to take his music career forward. Kavon believes in two things – the right attitude and the willingness to learn throughout life. Humility will get you everywhere, says Kavon.
He also swears by the practice of learning from every person he meets. His advice is to treat every person you meet like a book off the shelf, ready to give you immense knowledge on what they know. Kavon, also known as “ItsKavon” adds that no inspiring business leader got to where they are without the willingness to work hard and put everything into their business.
Even throughout his internship in Atlanta during college, he focused on polishing his skills with one of the best artists in the world and forming great connections with appropriate people from the industry. Kavon is truly a combination of talent and hard work. He adds, ‘Always remain a student; never think you know more than the next man because that stops your mind from taking in new information, and that’s not what you want. Your goal should be to learn something new every day’.
