Elon Musk has affirmed that Tesla won't offer a regular steering wheel option on new Model S and Model X vehicles.

At the point when Tesla divulged the new Model S with the "yoke" butterfly steering wheel, it was controversial.

Some were stressed over the actual shape of the wheel being dangerous and others about the absence of drive stalk to pick the drive mode.

Concerning the previous, we felt that the automaker wouldn't risk bringing the controversial yoke steering wheel to market without a non-linear steering curve empowered by a steer-by-wire system.

Particularly realizing that Tesla has been fostering a steer-by-wire system.

Nonetheless, as Tesla began deliveries of the new Model S Plaid last month, we were astounded to see that the wheel had an ordinary 14.0:1 steering ratio, and it is proving to be impractical at lower speeds.

CEO Elon Musk later affirmed that Tesla is in reality dealing with reformist directing, yet it's still years away.

Up to that point, some accepted that Tesla may offer a norm round directing wheel as a choice, yet the CEO affirmed today that it will not.

Musk demands that the burden guiding wheel is awesome for offering better visibility of the instrument cluster and its driving visualizations.
