While it seemed like a reckless decision at the time, it turned out to be the best thing Mathieu could ever do to achieve his dream of becoming a successful entrepreneur.
“I just remember thinking to myself, how can this guy teach me to do something that he’s never accomplished himself? I knew I needed to find someone who already had the results I wanted,” Jang says.
That’s when he started looking into digital sales and marketing. This was back in 2009, when social media was just starting to become what it is today. The now 29-year-old has since generated over $100-million in online sales for his clients while helping hundreds of others start successful internet-based businesses.
“It’s been unbelievable,” Jang recalls. “Back when I got started all I wanted to do was make enough money to travel, since my family didn’t have the money when I was a kid. But once I started dialing in my skill set, I realized the enormous untapped potential in this industry.”
Those skills include running paid ads on social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram, writing compelling copy to optimize sales conversions, and mastering the tried and true tactics of high-ticket sales closing.
Jang says, “I always tell people who run businesses, whether they’re chefs with restaurants or personal trainers with gyms, you’re not in the business of food or fitness. You’re in the business of selling. Whether you like it or not, once you start a business, any business, you are in sales. It’s your job to sell what you do. Or hire someone to sell what you do.”
And in the era of internet sales and marketing, there’s few to none who do it as prolifically as Mathieu Tyler Jang.
