  • 09-November-2022

Throughout the day, your energy levels will fluctuate slightly. Nature's ebb and flow can be influenced by a variety of factors. These include your level of physical activity, stress, and sleep, as well as the foods you eat. In general, eating a meal or snack makes you feel more energised by refuelling your body. A restless night, a stressful day at work, or eating too many doughnuts can all be detrimental. But if you're constantly exhausted, it's time to think about what's causing you to feel that way.

Radhika Gupta, Yoga Coach and Founder of Satvic Yoga, suggested five things that lower your energy instantly in her recent Instagram post.

Alcohol consumption

Remember that whatever gets you high will also get you down. As a result, the Hangover. The body perceives alcohol as a poison, and a significant portion of our energy is expended in removing it from the system.

Watching negative content

Disturbing or gruesome content destabilises our energy. It stresses out our subconscious mind. Bringing the system back to normal consumes our energy. Replace disturbing content with self-help and spiritual documentaries.

Lying

It takes a lot of energy to make up stories and be dishonest. Keeping up with lies and inventing new ones to protect ourselves is a significant drain on our energy reserves. You can begin to be honest with yourself and others. Be at ease with your own truth.

Consuming fatty foods

Do you ever feel like running after eating chhola bhatura? Isn't that correct? This is because heavy foods sap 70-80% of our energy and make us sluggish. Replace heavy meals with simple meals that are high in water content

shallow Breathing

All of your movements are propelled by your breath. A certain amount of inertia will enter the system if your breath is shallow and rapid. Deep, steady, slow breathing is required for high and consistent energy. Most importantly, begin deep breathing. Start your day with 10 minutes of pranayama.
