With benefits contracting of late, Facebook has been closing down unpopular apps and focusing on its core services. With that in mind, it's updating the primary Facebook Feed to allow clients to see less or more posts from friends, groups and pages. That will thusly allow it to integrate user feedback into Feed rankings, "making our artificial intelligence systems smarter and more responsive," it said in a blog post.

The way things are presently, the Facebook application just allows you to hide posts from individuals you follow or those it proposes. Presently, for friends or recommended posts, a new setting will permit you to "show more" or "show less" of that content. Doing so won't only change your feed content, but also develop its AI system used for Feed rankings.

It'll "periodically" show the setting on posts in Feed, and you'll soon have the option to access a comparative setting on each post by tapping on the three-dot menu at the top right. It's likewise testing the feature in its short video Reels feature.

What's more, Facebook is testing a global menu to customize the number of posts you see from Friends and family; Groups; and Pages and public figures. You'll have the option to select "Normal," "Show more" or "Show less" of that content. That will show up alongside the current Favorites, Snooze, Unfollow and Reconnect in the Feed Preferences.

With the changes, Facebook gives off an impression of being tending to one of the main user complaints: an excessive number of posts that they would rather not see. Taking into account the number of ads in Feed (with more coming to Instagram and Reels too), parent Meta no question needs to ensure clients are happy with other content.
