Inauguration Of A British Watch Brand Set To Shine At WatchPro Salon In London

  • 25-October-2023

The forthcoming WatchPro Salon event scheduled for November 10th to 11th in London is set to witness the debut of an exciting new luxury British watch brand: Edward Christopher. Their inaugural timepiece, the Manta dive watch, draws inspiration from the elegance and vibrant hues of the manta ray.

Though only a preview of the pale blue variant has been unveiled in advance of the WatchPro Salon, the Edward Christopher watch will be offered in an initial selection of five bold colors upon its launch, with the promise of additional options in the near future.

The Manta watch is powered by a Swiss-made Sellita time-only automatic movement, equipped with time-hacking capabilities. Notably, it features a distinctive internal rotating unidirectional bezel, operated by one of two color-coded crowns.

Encased within a 40mm brushed steel case adorned with polished facets, the Manta watch boasts an impressive water resistance of up to 660 feet. Its dial is designed for optimal legibility and showcases a mesmerizing guilloche pattern that gradually transitions from the outer edge to the center.

Edward Christopher's design philosophy encapsulates a harmonious fusion of the precision associated with Swiss mechanical movements and the quintessentially British qualities of sophistication, adventurous spirit, and a touch of eccentricity.

While the London-based company has not officially commenced trading, it has set forth two core missions. Firstly, to craft exquisitely modern luxury watches that are characterized by distinct and unique features, vibrant color schemes, and are suitable for both men and women. Secondly, Edward Christopher is committed to allocating a significant portion of its profits to support children and young people in need across the globe.
