Stress and anxiety have become an integral part of our lives. There is no dearth of reasons to stay stressed; people can remain stressed because of their personal lives, professional issues, societal issues, etc. However, we cannot use them as an excuse in our lives, as they take their toll on our hearts over the years.

Stress can be really threatening. It causes myriads of health problems, from mental to physical, including cardiovascular diseases and sudden strokes. People should learn to manage their stress and anxiety to prevent heart attacks

According to Doctor Integralist Biprajit Parbat, long-term anxiety or emotional stress increases the risk for heart attack or sudden cardiac death. People should indulge in activities that reduce stress like meditation, yoga, etc., to reduce their anxiety levels.

If you think you are unable to handle stress at your level, be it your work-related stress or personal life issues, it’s recommended to meet a counselor. A counselor can help you with strategies that can lower your stress. You can even consider talking to your healthcare provider. Your healthcare provider may recommend counseling, classes, or other programs that can help you lower your stress level and your risk for heart disease.

The idea is to come out of the loop; people who avoid this initially end up getting into more trouble. They simply increase their risks for coronary diseases, which is not a good sign.

Stay focused, and be mindful about how you feel to have a healthy heart!!
